This event was organised by the Office and Administrative Department (OAD) of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, with assistance from The Ukrainian Parliament Support Programme. Taking part in the event were Secretariat Heads of Parliamentary Committees, and Personnel of the OAD Divisions. Yuriy Yasenchuk, OAD Deputy Head, addressing the audience stressed the key role Parliamentary committees play in ensuring a high quality of legislative working. He reminded the Delegates that this is the second Seminar to be held in the last few months, from a series of events aimed at ensuring openness in the working of Parliament. The Seminar discussed the matters of setting up efficient websites in each of the Committees operating in The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

 

Oleksiy Sydorenko, Manager of the Computerized Systems Division, Viktor Rezvanok, Head of the Information Office , Dmytro Polishchuk, Head of Secretariat of the National Security and Defence Commitee, and Yuriy Sorochyk, Head of Secretatiat of the Organised Crime and Corruption Combatting Committee, covered a wide range of organisational, technological and informational matters to be resolved, in order to set up fully-fledged Web Resources in Committees, and to have them integrated with the existing Internet Resources of Parliament.

 

The outcome of this discussion resulted in Seminar Delegates commissioning the Steering Committee to elaborate on their proposals, and prepare recommendations on this basis, on the steps required to set up and maintain Websites in the Committees of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
